Many people find that they are enthusiastic about starting therapy, but feel disappointed with the outcomes or are overwhelmed by the process.
We believe that two of the key ingredients in successful therapy experiences are the right therapist and the right treatment. When you meet, your therapist will conduct a thorough initial psychosocial evaluation to learn about your current issues, significant life events, past treatment experiences and goals.
Together, you and the therapist will then discuss possible explanations for the issues bringing you into treatment and work to create a treatment plan that will help you create the life you desire.
We believe that therapy is collaborative and adaptive, and that treatment is not one-size-fits-all. As you progress in treatment, you and your therapist will continue to evaluate what is working and what is not to stay productive and targeting your treatment goals. BPS approaches therapy from the perspective that all people can create the lives they want to be living. From this acceptance, people find not only freedom from suffering, but also, more emotional and cognitive control.
