Just be aware that this can be a time-consuming activity. By the end, my teen and tween were kind of bored and tired. Good time - CSI lab was a hit! Museum was enjoyable. Lots of interactive displays and self-paced touring allows to take in more or less depending on interests. We did a CSI crime lab activity and my teen daughters loved it! My 10 and 12 year old boys were fascinated by all the torture from the Middle ages to the code breaking techniques, and laughed out loud when reading about the criminals that were caught from being stupid.

Probably too much fun, really--it is crime, after all! I'm sad to hear it's no longer around but am glad I got the chance to experience it beforehand. All the more incentive not to wait to see the world!!

A good day trip if you're ever in the area. Showing results of Going to DC with grandsons, aged 11 and 13, not sure if they would enjoy this museum or ht Spy Museum. I don't think it's necessary to do both museums with so much else to see in just 4 days.

Any suggestions? Dear Freda, I am not sure if you have come and left DC yet, but anyway your grandsons are the perfect age for our museum. Some of our biggest fans are in that age bracket! We are very close to the Spy Museum so you could easily visit both. I understand that a four day visit is not long and there is so much to see in DC. I would simply ask your grandsons which subject interests them more.

Just to give you a quick glance the museum covers a long history of crime ranging from the old west to mobsters and much more. We also feature many interactive exhibits that are usually a big hit with younger visitors. Anyway, we sincerely hope you guys enjoy ed your time in DC.

Best, The Crime Museum. Read all replies. John G Lebanon, PA contributions. Also popular with travelers. This instrument is frequently used for the study of color, which is defined by how light interacts with material.
